BITEBYE-SL09 Solar-Powered Outdoor Bug Zapper — Weather-Ready Protection for Gardens & Yards
Reduce mosquito activity across large outdoor spaces with a solar and dual-power mosquito trap designed for lawns, gardens, yards, vegetable plots, farms and other suitable areas. The top-mounted solar panel collects energy from sunlight during the day, helping power the three ultraviolet tubes and surrounding electric grid after dark.
The dual-power system also supports plug-in operation, providing an alternative power source when sunlight is limited or extended operation is required. With a 230W-H three-tube configuration, a 3000V electric grid and a suggested coverage area of up to approximately 1,500m² under suitable conditions, the device is designed for large and open environments.
Solar and Dual-Power Operation
The integrated solar panel converts sunlight into stored energy for nighttime operation. In solar mode, the trap can be positioned in suitable outdoor locations without requiring permanent electrical wiring.
The plug-in power option provides additional flexibility during cloudy weather, periods of limited sunlight or locations where continuous external power is available.
For improved solar charging performance, install the unit in an open area where the panel can receive several hours of direct sunlight. Avoid placing it beneath trees, roofs, walls or other structures that may block the sun.
Solar charging and operating performance may vary depending on sunlight intensity, charging duration, season, weather conditions and installation location.
Three UV Attraction Tubes
Three purple ultraviolet fluorescent tubes create a wider attraction zone for mosquitoes and other light-sensitive flying insects. After dark, the UV light helps draw nearby insects toward the device, where the surrounding 3000V electric grid eliminates them through physical contact.
For improved attraction performance, install the unit away from bright garden lamps, illuminated windows and other competing light sources.
3000V Wide Electric Grid for Large Areas
The broad electric-grid structure surrounds the three UV tubes, providing a larger contact area for use in open environments. The high-voltage grid is designed to eliminate mosquitoes and other small flying insects when they come into contact with it.
Under suitable environmental conditions, the suggested coverage area is up to approximately 1,500m². Actual effective coverage may vary depending on installation position, mosquito density, surrounding vegetation, walls, wind, weather and competing light sources.
Ground-Stake or Wall-Mounted Installation
Two installation methods provide greater flexibility for different locations.
Ground-Stake Installation
Use the ground stake to install the device directly in lawns, gardens, vegetable plots and suitable farming areas:
- Assemble the device and ground-stake components securely.
- Select a firm, level location with sufficient sunlight.
- Insert the stake into the soil until the unit is stable.
- Ensure that the solar panel is not shaded during the day.
- Keep the trap away from areas where people regularly sit or gather.
Do not force the stake into rocky or extremely hard ground, as this may damage the mounting components.
Wall-Mounted Installation
Use the wall-mounting option for warehouses, livestock areas, covered agricultural spaces and other fixed locations:
- Select a solid wall capable of supporting the device.
- Install suitable mounting hardware for the wall material.
- Secure the unit firmly and confirm that it cannot move or fall.
- Leave sufficient clearance around the electric grid.
- Protect the plug, cable and electrical connections from moisture.
Installation hardware should be selected according to the wall type and installation environment.
Outdoor-Oriented Construction
The raised body, three-tube lighting system and wide electric grid are designed for mosquito control in large outdoor or sheltered agricultural environments.
Unless a specific waterproof rating is provided, do not submerge the product or install it where it may be exposed to flooding, sprinklers or prolonged heavy rain. Keep the plug, cable and other electrical connections protected from excessive moisture.
Physical Mosquito-Control Method
The device uses ultraviolet light and a high-voltage electric grid to assist with mosquito and flying-insect control. It does not require insecticide sprays, smoke-producing coils or open flames during operation.
This makes it a practical supplemental mosquito-control solution for large spaces where frequent spraying may be inconvenient.

Recommended Placement
Install the trap in a location that receives direct sunlight during the day and experiences mosquito activity after dark. Position it away from patios, seating areas, entrances and other occupied spaces so that mosquitoes are attracted away from people.
Avoid placing the unit directly next to bright outdoor lamps. For large or irregularly shaped areas, effective coverage may be reduced by walls, trees, dense vegetation, strong wind or uneven terrain.
When using plug-in power, make sure the voltage and plug type are compatible with the local electrical supply. Keep the cable and power connection protected from water, animals, vehicles and foot traffic.
Safety and Maintenance
The 3000V electric grid carries high voltage during operation and may temporarily retain electrical energy after the device is switched off. Keep the unit away from children and pets, and never touch the grid while it is operating.
Before cleaning or maintenance, switch off the device, disconnect the plug and allow sufficient time for the electrical components to discharge. Remove insect residue with a dry cleaning brush. Do not clean the electric grid with water, wet cloths or metal objects.
Actual results may vary according to mosquito population, sunlight, installation position, surrounding vegetation, wind, weather and competing light sources. This product is intended to support mosquito and flying-insect control and does not guarantee the elimination of every insect.
